Is it just me, or did this guy not take a breath the entire episode?! I LOVE this podcast but to be brutually honest, this episode drove me nuts. I can’t even count how many times he cut Elizabeth and Andy off mid-sentence. Slow it down, Joe! I’ll end my rant here. Grrr…

LOVE this guy! So high energy and fun with a very interesting outlook on everything from what I can tell. I would love to have him as a Dad. Favorite part was his outro, “Stay Punk.”

As usual, you guys are the best part of my work day. Keep it up!

I identify so deeply with the sentiments Elizabeth expressed about the catholic church. Dan Savage may not be your cup of tea, but if you’ve never heard his excerpt speaking about being a former catholic on This American Life, I suggest you do (only when you’re in the mood for a good cry!). He beautifully articulates the conflicting emotions many of us feel about the church, while reminiscing about his mother. I found it cathartic. Hearing this was the first time I realized I was not alone in these feelings. That is, until my devout Catholic grandmother took me as her young liberal confidant and secretly confided in me about her anger with the church’s problems :)
