Egg nog ingredients (makes a shit-ton of Nog):
• 12 eggs, separated (put the whites in the fridge)
• 1 lb powdered sugar
• 8 cups (2 quarts) heavy cream
• 4-6 cups (about 1-1.5 bottles) of any combo of the following: rum, brandy/cognac, bourbon/rye
• nutmeg (garnish)

• beat the 12 egg yolks in a bowl til they’re light in color
• gradually beat in powdered sugar
• very slowly, and beating constantly, add 2 Cups of your booze
• let stand, covered, for 1 hour (gets rid of any eggy taste)
• very slowly, and beating constantly, add remaining 2-4 Cups of your booze, 8 Cups heavy cream
• cover, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours
• in a separate bowl (or stand mixer), beat egg whites until peaks form, and are “stiff, but not dry”
• gently fold egg whites into boozy nog (I did this in a big stock pot, to avoid spillage)
• serve, Topped with freshly grated nutmeg (or whatever you got – pre-ground works fine), or just as-is!
