I went through a Documentary phase, some recommendations:
Paradise Lost (1 and 2)- True crime trial film, I like it even more than The Staircase
Touching the Void- Incredible mountain climbing survival story
Fog of War-About the Sec. of Def. from Kennedy’s administration
Sorry none of these are uplifting, there just aren’t many good positive docs out there
