Anyone else immediately start browsing donors when Erin said it was open to the public?
I totally did!
Hey there!
Very very interesting podcast! Thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Erins donor experience…loads of fun to listen to! 🙂
Thanks!
Great episode, learned so much!! So glad you clarified about “crying it out”, as an adoptive parent to two attachment challenged children, there is so much grey area on this topic. Some say 6 mos, some say 8 mos but I believe most agree definitely never before 3 mos. I started my bio daughter way late because of my experience with my other two, she was close to 10 months, and I cried longer than she did. Lol
I have to disagree about mother’s smothering their child in their bed since I saw this as a cop in the Air Force years ago. Truly tragic
I think instead of saying Laime mom & dads, you should call listeners Laime ‘rents! Cover both with one word 🙂
Love this podcast but I find myself rolling my eyes every time you start trying to be P.C. JUST BE YOU!!! I love it!
Let me elaborate by saying that I probably roll my eyes because I am the type of woman that understands that everyone makes different choices and I truly believe that what works for you may not work for me and vise versa. To co-sleep or not to co sleep Who cares. I co sleep and honestly wished I had never started it but I nursed and it was WAY easier to just roll over and flop out my boob then get up and go get the baby then nurse. Lets face it I need sleep and this was the easiest way for me. I would hope people wouldn’t judge me about this because honestly it doesn’t affect them in any way what so ever nor is it harming my son. I find it strange that some people get so worked up over other people’s choices when it doesn’t affect them. But then again I’m a pretty free spirit and love how different we all are. Imagine how boring this world would be if we all made the same choices all time. YAWN, makes me sleepy just thinking about it.
Hey Jaime!
I have no idea what I was being “PC” about in this episode. Is it the co sleeping thing? If so, I’m definitely not trying to be PC, I think I’m just like you although with less experience - I truly don’t have an opinion either way! my opinion is: Do your thang ladies. I think we are exactly alike in our thinking actually!
I guess what I mean is, sometimes it sounds like your afraid to offend someone when discussing things you refer to as “hot topics.” Anyway. I love this pod cast so much. I haven’t listen to the others yet but I have them downloaded. You are super entertaining! I can’t wait to find out baby Oprah’s real name.
Love the new podcast, love that you and Erin had this great open discussion today. Just wanted to let you know that I live in the town where Adam & Eve is!!! I’ve heard from many people that it is a fantastic place to work, it’s family owned, pays well, and they win awards in our community every year for being so awesome. Of course, they don’t go by “Adam and Eve” but by their corporation name, so I think a lot of folks don’t know who they are. If I wasn’t already a successful housekeeper (I would totally clean your house 😉 I would love to get a job there!

Love the podcast(s)! Love that you explore the perspective of motherhood through each of your guests. As a mom of an almost one year old, it’s refreshing to hear the good, the bad, and the funny from other moms!
