Yes Jesse looks Arab in the photo!
Fidel Castro hasn’t looked this healthy and young in decades and frankly I don’t think El Comandante looks remotely Arabic.*
* I love Jesse and am a Maxfun donor. However, I will be extremely disappointed if, when Theresa Thorn is on Totally Mommy, she doesn’t look like Mirta in the photo.
HI Elizabeth! I am in the middle of listening to this episode with Jesse Thorne and I am sorry to break the news to you but it looks like your house has a case of the “pantry moths”. When you said “baby moth” I just knew it. I was really perplexed why you found them all dead though and the only thing I can think of is that Ramona or Ruby (probably Ramona, lets be honest) is killing them. My cat (Rudy) likes playing with them but is not a very good killer.
Anyways, they are pretty common and pretty easy to get rid of. You need to go through all your pantry items and inspect each item for moths, larvae (sorry) and what looks similar to spiderwebs. If the moths have invaded that item, the cap/lid will most likely have the web stuff on it. They like things like cereal, pasta, rice and some sweet stuff although they left most of my sweets alone even bags of sugar. From now you you will need to store everything in airtight containers. I keep a lot of stuff in the freezer now like pasta. Sorry you are dealing with this, it is a pain
Also they like hanging out on walls so check the walls/doors of all your cabinets. They are really easy to kill, I just swat a rag or old t-shirt at them when they land on a surface and I also used bug spray as I was going through my pantry. Good luck guys.
You def have pantry moths! There are traps for them which are just a little triangular cardboard box that have sticky pieces on the inside that the moths get caught on. Sounds like it’s time for a trip to Home Depot!
Whoa, Jesse’s friend Peter has the same obscure long-ass German last name as me! When I heard it uttered I did the audio equivalent of a double-take.
I got moths when I had a bird. they come with pet food. they’re super hard to get rid of. you gotta go through all your drawers and corners for every little crumb of food. they can survive on that one serial flake that lies in the back of the cupboard under the sink.
