You’re right Elizabeth; Shaq is very nice. When I was little Shaq would come visit the sick kids in Orlando hospitals (when he was on the Orlando Magic) and bring presents and play with us. I guess most athletes do that just for the image but he was actually funny and enjoying it and not just going through the motions.

He would even come to the hospital during holidays and bring lots of presents to make us feel better about being in the hospital during the holiday. If he was just doing it for the image he could’ve scheduled it to easy times instead of taking time out from his holidays to visit us.

So I think he probably really is a good person.

I only once drove a babysitter home and my wife talked to her parents about it beforehand, and they talked to her, to make sure it was okay.

Our regular babysitter lives down our lane and when we get home my wife walks her home. It is late at night and I wouldn’t want to risk making her uncomfortable.

I am curious about her life because teenagers are fascinating, but I don’t pry about her personal life. It is not my place; at all.
