SHOW NOTES COMING SOON
My only a water drinker as well and I make my own Sassy Water at home See Cynthia Sass. It is cucumbers, lemon, mint, and fresh ginger. Helps with bloating and it taste so good!
I liked this episode, but wow… it was definitely a bro episode lol I feel like Elizabeth wouldn’t be able to handle the amount of poop/69 talk, and she would not be alone hahaha. Ya’ll are hilarious. Love the show!!
Calpis (カルピス Karupisu?) is a Japanese uncarbonated soft drink, manufactured by Calpis Co., Ltd. (カルピス株式会社 Karupisu Kabushiki-gaisha?), headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo.[1] Calpis Co. is a subsidiary of Ajinomoto. The beverage has a light, somewhat milky, and slightly acidic flavor, similar to plain or vanilla-flavored yogurt or Yakult. Its ingredients include water, nonfat dry milk and lactic acid, and is produced by lactic acid fermentation.
Hahah this episode probably turned off most of the new Mormon listeners. Swearing (even if it’s a loving GFY) is a big No No.
And the poop/69 talk probably sealed the deal.
Oh well.
And yep, I second Ryann- it was a totally bro episode. It was a fun listen, your energy is always so contagious. Elizabeth crossed my mind too, like I was almost hoping I could hear/see her reaction to the episode.
RoRo and JoJo: YOU ROCK. Now GFY!
Great episode! I recently moved to Boulder Colorado and have discovered what may be the greatest beverage establishment ever. It’s called Hazels Beverage World and when I walked in I was just in awe of the ridiculous amount of options in this place! It’s basically beverage Mecca. I found this video they took of inside the store, it’s totally insane. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lD5WP0jZlg8
Hey, tip for all the german-speaking listeners or all people flying with a german airline. Order a radler (beer and lemonade) on the plane because they normally never carry it but to make up for it they’ll just give you one can beer and one lemonade. so you get twice as much to drink as everybody else for free.
GO FUCK YOURSELF
I spent two weeks last year in Germany and was excited to try all the German beers. I fell in love with their Radler. Maybe because a lot of their beer they drink at room temp. and not stored in a cooler. The radler was refreshing even at room temp. Since being back in the US I have been searching for something that is close to the German Radler. Cooler’s Lite Radler, as much as I hate to throw money towards Coor’s, is by far the closest to what I had in Germany. I think it might be because they do the lemon, lime and orange when they make it. There are lots of lemon beers out there but they don’t compare to what I feel in love with in Germany. Have you tried it? I am bummed that it is “seasonal” so I am enjoying while I can. Radler shootout?! That could be a fun one RoRo & JoJo.
I drink Steigl Radler - I don’t remember where I heard about it, eat was either Deadspin’s beer of the day column or on a podcast. It’s grapefruit (maybe other flavors, but not where I am?) and it’s DELICIOUS.
“Eat was either”? Wow. Bedtime for me.
@Renee have you tried doing your own it’s not that hard. Only rule is to pour the lemonade in first then the beer. I quite like Sprite (anything lemony) as the lemonade. Just have fun trying out what you like best.
I am assuming you guys are referring to lemonade as nomenclature for a citrus soda rather than lemonade as a mixture of lemon juice, sugar and water (un-carbonated). I had the option of lemonade on an international flight when I was a teen and was psyched then confused when it was sprite-like instead of juice-like.
I feel like I might make a gross beer drink if I pick the wrong one. Any particular beer or beer style that works well. I had Guinness with currant concentrate added to it a couple of times and it was good but all “real” beer people looked at me like I was a demon-spawn for doing it.
Great episode! I forget what part was so funny to me, but I was sitting at a bar, alone, laughing out loud at the beginning of the podcast and then was a little embarrassed.
Also, just a thought here, but maybe the next time you guys do a listener beverages show/no guest show, you could each do an updated beverage profile. I’m guessing they might have changed since you started doing the show?
Are we too lazy to pour and stir? Or is this actually cool? Please discuss:
