Totally Married Podcast
Episode 268
Elizabeth and Andy discuss her recent foray into the world of mind expansion as well as what they’ve been legitimately arguing about lately (hint: starts with Bu, ends with Jo). Then they give their unqualified advice to listener questions about attending twentieth highschool reunions with your significant other, whether or not to get a wedding gift for a friend who did not do the same for you, how they got their start podcasting and what equipment they use, whether or not to move forward with an ex friend coming to visit even though it might be weird, and how to address a small but important lie you’ve caught your boyfriend in? Enjoy!

I am so glad you went on your heart opener quest, especially with young children at home. It’s inspiring! Just because we have children doesn’t mean we can’t continue to responsibly try something new while we forge our path in life and look for answers.
I wouldn’t be too hard on the fast food eating unemployed boyfriend. Being unemployed sucks and now your partner is watching your every move. I’d just remind him that you can see the credit card purchases and that you’re on a budget. Maybe instead of swiping the card he could move to just having cash. It’s so easy to swipe and not keep track of your purchases. With cash you can see how much you have and when it’s gone.
I agree — I think he just wants some small treat and something for himself, and if you stop watching him so closely he might feel less like he wants to rebel! Perhaps you could compromise so he can cut down, rather than having to abstain entirely.
I am obsessed with #Bujo since you brought it up! Its awesome to hear about your progress and the banter between you two is awesome about it. What is your Instagram I would love to see your pages! I am a new listener and I love your show!
First of all, THANK YOU for the gift of the Casey Wilson recap of the heart-opening ceremony. (Wow.) Fellow listeners, I can’t recommend it enough!
Secondly, can Andy please stop saying “titties”? It’s traumatizing.
> how they got their start podcasting and what equipment they use,
Can we get Amazon links to these? Not in the market now but hoping to be in the future.

Andy, don’t worry too much about the vasectomy. Don’t believe it’s ‘nothing’ either. It wasn’t that bad for me. Wear a tight jock after it’s done and ice, ice, ice. I had mine done by my regular GP/PCP. Some general practice docs are certified to do it. You don’t necessarily have to see a neurologist for it. He did it right in his office. They gave me a little pill to take the edge off. After that I only felt some pinching for the local anesthetic. It will feel sore and kinda like you got knocked in the balls a little. Overall, it wasn’t horrible. The outcome is worth the weekend of discomfort.
