I’m such a groupie lately - as I am currently binge listening to all your shows. But listening to the first 3:30 of todays pod I had to share with you this little gem - when I was fresh into college I went as Albert Einstein for Halloween. I went all out, with a lightbulb propped up over my head that I rigged with a wire down my sleeve to light up when I had a “brilliant idea”. Not a sexy look mind you - but a costume I was quite proud of. My friend threw on a leather jacket and feathered her hair. Not one person knew who I was, EVERYONE knew she was a Charlie’s Angel.
hahaha, oh this would be so me!! The lightbulb, though - that is brilliant!!!
Ladies! I loved your response to the question about prepping your older babe for the arrival of a younger sibling. I have a two year old and a two week old and DANG has this been a roller coaster! I actually do not think I did a great job of prepping my older daughter - we would talk about her sister often while I was pregnant, but it still doesn’t prepare her for the onslaught of people coming over and asking her “Are you a BIG SISTER!!?!?” and “Do you LOVE YOU BABY?!?!” To which she usually just wants those same people to come play with her or read her a book. It breaks my heart a little honestly. I feel like I am spending so much of my day mitigating interactions like this and making my oldest feel important too independently of her role as a big sister. I wish I would have had your advice sooner - thanks for hitting it out of the park yet again!
