The grapefruit and clementine sodas from Trader Joes are the shit! But I agree the blood orange is pretty gross.
I could drink black coffee all day too, but I try to keep it healthy with morning pots of Yerba mate, which really does taste like sticks, so I brew it with some hibiscus, ginger, turmeric, peppercorn, cayenne, and lemon. The hibiscus has a real tart/sweet/flowery taste, in the summer I keep a pitcher of hibiscus/mint tea in the refer. So refreshing! They say hibiscus is good for high blood pressure too.
Shortly after Mio came out my mom somehow got a free one that I’m pretty sure was blue raspberry (it was definitely blue) and it was really disgusting. I would be interested to hear your take on it in a shootout though!
If it’s one of the electrolytes ones it’s horrid! I tried one of those and I can only force myself to drink it sometimes, under the pretense that it’s “healthy”.
I legit think the electrolytes are making it terrible.
I love the send Pellegrino blood orange the other two I’ve never seen here on the island I will say that it’s much different in the bottle than in the can. It’s much fruitier and I prefer however it’s $2.50 a bottle and I can only get it at Starbucks so I do it as a treat so it’s kind of unfair that you put the two bottles together with the can!:))
I’ve always wanted to try these:

I could also get behind a grasshopper milkshake!
Also, my untappd name is MrsBS if anyone wants to add me
Hey Ro-Ro! Hey Jo-Jo!
Love the last episode, wanted to give you a high recommendation for a Jamaica bev! Jarritos Jamaica Hibiscus Natural Flavor Soda is made in Mexico, and also made for taco night
I love this drink, the other flavors of the sweet soda are good too, but I always go back to this one! I had no idea that maybe there are other drinks called Jamaica?!?! Y’all are blowing my mind and making me LOL at work as per usual, so thank you & GFY.

I gave up DC and caffeine in general during the daytime, and after just a few weeks (maybe 1 month) I was able to go back to having some in the evening (with a cocktail or dinner) and not fall right back off the wagon.
Plus now actually if I have more than 1 I can feel the chemically caffeine grossness in my skin like a weird dry tightness. So I think letting it go is very possible if you have a chance to detox.
There were a lot of things I wanted to comment on while I was driving and listening to this, but of course now I’ve forgotten. May have to listen again. I have made a couple ‘grown up smoothies’ - mostly rum with ‘tropical’ fruits like pineapple and banana and almond milk and yogurt - kind of a milkshake. They were ok, not incredible. When I was working at a fast food place that sold shakes when I was much younger, it was New Years Eve or some special occasion and I took everyone’s order and went to the liquor store and we all discreetly drank our poison of choice mixed in with whatever - I chose to make a vanilla shake and put some sort of incredible gnarly schnapps, I think it was blueberry? in it, and I put way too much booze in. Strangest part of it was that it was really good.
There used to be a Clockwork Orange-inspired bar in NYC – the Korova Milk Bar – that specialized in boozy milkshakes. I went there once many years ago and ordered an orange creamsicle milkshake that was life changing, or at least good enough for me to have remembered it. I would have ordered more but it was pricey, really intoxicating and crazy high in calories.
I love creamsicle anything, that sounds good. There was a new think called ‘tipsy milk’ or something at the liquor store this weekend, they had a poster on the door advertising the creme de menthe version for St Patricks day. When I found the display, they also had creamsicle and one other flavor. I grabbed one and saw it was $18 for a very small container (like a medium sized Milk Chug) so I didn’t get it.
Just want to clarify about warm beer. People think the English drink warm beer. It is not room temp, it is cellar temp. So it is cooler than room temp, but not refrigerated.
This shootout got me psyched to try the San Pellegrino. I’m picking some up tonight!
Also, I’m sure all the Craft Beer nerds are already using UnTappd, but if you’re not, you should. It’s awesome.
Loved Karen as a guest!
I have some beers I like better room temp. During the holidays I tried a lot of versions of the ‘Christmas’ or ‘winter’ beers - orange peel, spices, cinnamon, etc…the first 6-pack I bought wasn’t cold in the store, and I wanted one when I got home so I put it in my frozen mug and started drinking it, and the colder it got, the more bitter and metal tasting it got. I drank another one out of the fridge later and didn’t enjoy it. At room temp, I could actually taste the different flavors in it.

“Add to that the charisma and enthusiasm of the hosts, and TBASH is not to be missed.”
Josh was on fire this week! He had amazing chemistry with Karen, who I loved! I usually give an audible “aww” when one of his witty quips go unnoticed but it was a delight hearing someone else acknowledge and respond in kind. You guys are awesome - GFYourselves.
All I keep thinking about is having a mudslide milkshake.
